Special education school is for children with disabilities.

Children learn various things including curriculums of kindergarten, elementary, junior high, and high school, to promote independency.

Foreign school

Foreign schools are schools for foreign children.

There are ethnic schools for children of a certain ethnicity and nationality, and international schools for children of a wide range of foreign nationalities.

Graduates of some foreign schools are qualified to take entrance exams for Japanese universities, etc.

Night junior high school

"Public Junior High School Night School Program" refers to "night school" at public junior high schools, and classes are held from evening to night.

Those who have not completed elementary or junior high school, or those who could not learn enough at junior high school for various circumstances can attend.

Foreigners who have not graduated from Japanese junior high school can also study here.

Those who graduate from night junior high schools are qualified to take an entrance exam of high school.

"Night schools" are located at eight public junior high schools in Tokyo.

Anyone who is the age of 15 or older, and lives or works in Tokyo can attend.

Academic ability is not required, and tuition is free of charge.
