Support for Multicultural Kids Coordinators
Support for Multicultural Kids Coordinators
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation "TSUNAGARI" support and people engaged in supporting children whose mother language is not Japanese and their parents/guardians as "Multicultural Kids Coordinators."
The foundation mainly conducts the following three programs:
- Consultation service for Multicultural Kids Supervisors
- Training for Multicultural Kids Coordinators
- Network meetings of the staff responsible for supporting Multicultural Kids
“Consultation service for Multicultural Kids Supervisors" enables Multicultural Kids Coordinators established and supported by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and organizations supporting children whose mother language is not Japanese to consult with experts (supervisors) who have expertise necessary for their daily support activities.
“Training for Multicultural Kids Coordinators" helps participants develop the necessary mindset, knowledge, and approaches for supporting multicultural kids with the goal of making community support activities more effective.
“Network meetings of the staff responsible for supporting Multicultural Kids " brings together Multicultural Kids Coordinators active in various regions to share case studies and discuss issues and challenges they face. This facilitates the sharing of regional challenges and solutions, fostering collaboration for better support.
