Overseas remittance

Sending money from Japan to a foreign country is called "overseas remittance."
It is sometimes called “international remittance” or “foreign remittance.”
There are two methods for overseas remittance:
- Use of a bank or post office that accepts international remittances.
- Use of an overseas remittance service company operated by a “funds transfer company”.
There are various types of overseas remittances, such as withdrawing money from your own bank account, sending money from an ATM, and sending money over the internet.
Check the fee, ease of procedure, time until the money arrives, etc., and choose the one that suits you.
When using an international money transfer service company, make sure that it is registered as a funds transfer service provider.
It is prohibited by law to conduct the international money transfer service without registration.
