The Help Mark and the Maternity (Pregnancy) Mark

Have you ever seen a Help Mark or a Maternity (Pregnancy) Mark on a train, on a bus, or in town?

1) Help Mark

The Help Mark is a mark for people who need support from others due to a medical condition or other reason(s). It may not be obvious from outside appearances whether they are in difficulty or not, but many of them carry this tag on their bags to make themselves known to others.

2) Maternity Mark (Pregnancy Mark)

This is a mark for pregnant women. Sometimes it is difficult to tell if someone is pregnant or not from their appearance. Many women wear this mark on their bags so that they may be noticed by others.

If you see someone wearing one of these symbols:

  • Give them your seat on the train or bus.
  • Offer to help someone, if you see them having difficulty walking or moving.

Please be kindly mindful of their need for support.
