"Our Tokyo" Be Mindful of Noise
A noise is a sound that you feel is loud. You may not be aware of whether you are making that type of sound or not.
We may sometimes not realize that we are bothering people.
Major sources of noise include;
- Washing machines or vacuum cleaners
- TVs, music, etc.
- People's voices, footsteps, or pets' noises
Be particularly careful in apartments and condominiums.
For example, when doing laundry and cleaning, try to avoid early mornings and late evening hours.
Regarding music and people's voices, simply closing the windows reduces the sound that can be heard outside.
When children jump or run in a room, the sound may echo to the floor below. In households with small children, soundproof mats, soundproof carpets, and soundproof curtains may help reduce noise.
