"Our Tokyo" IC Card Pass
IC card passes allow you to get on and off of trains, subways and buses without purchasing a ticket. Suica and PASMO (passes) are available in the Tokyo area.
Benefits of IC Cards
- You may get on and off rides smoothly, without having to check the fare needed for your destination.
- IC fares are often cheaper than regular ticket fares.
- They can be used in vending machines in stations, as well as in convenience stores.
How to Purchase an IC Card
- Available at ticket machines or station counters.
- When first purchasing an IC card, a deposit of 500 yen is required. (When you return the IC card, the deposit will be refunded.)
- To start, top up your IC card at a ticket machine in a station.
Notes
- Watch out for short balances.
- Do not lose your card.
