町内会費・町会費・自治会費 (Neighborhood Association Membership Fee)
Chounaikaihi (choukaihi) or jichikaihi is a fee paid by those who are members of a neighborhood association, as a membership fee. The neighborhood association membership fee is used to pay for the electricity for streetlights in the community, to organize events, and to improve the local environment. Membership fees depend on where you live.
回覧板
(circular notice)
A kairanban is a community circular notice that provides information to households of neighborhood associations. The course of circulation for the circulation board is determined by a neighborhood association. There is one circulation board, and each family that sees it delivers it to the next household. A kairanban provides information on road construction, water supply works, neighborhood association's event, and much more.
