May Blues [5月病]
In Japan, years begin in April, at schools and companies. Many people may be changing their living environments, such as entering a new school or finding a new job. In this country, there is a long holiday called Golden Week from the end of April to the beginning of May. When your life changes in April, and you are tired or have a lot of stress, you may experience the following symptoms in your body, and feelings, after that long holiday. This is called May blues[5月病 ].
- tiring easily
- difficulty sleeping
- headaches
- lack of hunger
- not wanting to study or work
If you think you may be getting Gogatsubyo, try taking some time off, or doing something you like to do to change your mood. If you have any worries, talk to a family member or friend. If your condition does not change, you may need to go to a hospital.
What to do to avoid May blues 5月病.
- Keep a regular rhythm in your life by setting a time to get up and a time to go to bed.
- Take good rest.
- Talk to family and friends, to lower your stress level.
- Change your mood with hobbies or exercise.
