About the International Association
The Machida Cultural and International Exchange Foundation was established April 1, 2004, for the purpose of contributing to "the development of a city rich in culture and international in its taste." Its main mission is threefold: to support foreign residents in Machida City and surrounding areas, to promote international exchanges and cooperation, and to improve international understanding through various activities. Each activity is conducted mainly by volunteers.
