International Associations in Tokyo

MISHOP(Mitaka International Society for HOsPitality)

About the International Association

To create a city in which people from different countries and cultures can live together, mutually accepting their cultural differences . . . With the aim of making Mitaka a truly multicultural city, we of the Mitaka International Society for Hospitality (popularly called "MISHOP") perform various activities together with citizen volunteers.
MISHOP started its activities in 1989, to welcome foreign residents and encourage them to enjoy exchanges with Japanese. Since its inception, MISHOP has little-by-little expanded the range of its activities to include enriching the international understanding of Japanese residents, and the supporting of the city's foreign residents in their daily lives, etc.
We would like everyone to join with us as we work toward the internationalization of Mitaka City.

A lounge within the Mitaka International Society for HospitalityPrivate Japanese lessons are also offered here.
