Association for Arakawa International Communications
About the International Association
As the hub for resident's international exchange activities, the Arakawa International Communication Association was established on October 21, 1993. Through its promotion of international exchange projects, its friendships and goodwill with overseas sister cities, and its work to deepen the international understanding of residents, the Association aims to internationalize Arakawa and create a city that is open to the world.
More than 19,000 foreign people live in the city. Furthermore, in that it also has the Narita SKY ACCESS Line that links together Nippori and Narita Airport in just 36 minutes, Arakawa is a place with an international flavor that welcomes many foreign tourists.
With its aim being to create a local area where all people, including foreign residents, can enjoy their lives, while receiving the support of volunteers, the Association works in numerous ways as it seeks to undertake international exchange projects, projects in support of international understanding, and projects in support of foreign residents, etc.
