About the International Association

Based on the principles of “Linking Together People with People, and Regions with Regions”, by promoting within Suginami City both exchanges with local authorities within Japan and international exchanges with local authorities worldwide, the Suginami Association for Cultural Exchange aims to create a vibrant society within the city and enrich the lives of its citizens.
While focusing on the following three areas, the association conducts a range of activities:
1. Supporting the foreign residents of Suginami City.
2. Promoting exchanges with local authorities both within Japan and worldwide.
3. Improving mutual understanding of multicultural coexistence.
