【Disaster Prevention Topics③】Video: “STAY for SAFETY: Protect yourself by choosing not to go home ”
If lots of people try to return home at once after a large earthquake or disaster, roads and stations will become crowded and extremely dangerous.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has created videos to inform you of the dangers that could occur if lots of people try returning home at once.
If you are outside and a large earthquake strikes, please don't try to return home if it is difficult to do so.
Stay in a safe place such as your company, school, or a temporary shelter* until you are able to return home in a calm manner.
*Temporary shelter: A place in which you can stay for a short period of time if there is a disaster when you are outside your home and it is difficult for you to return. You can stay in a temporary shelter for up to around three days. Many schools, government offices, and large buildings and facilities act as temporary shelters.
